Miss Austen was always very kind to me as her favourite hero. (Hush, Darcy, you know it's true!) I hope to add wit and brilliance to Austen Itch. Being the only officer and gentleman present, I will be proud to lead and protect them in their small, but genteel society.

lol on what anne wrote to you -- single huh? YIKES! surely you didn't think you could remain single -- and i love that you ARE jane's favorite hero...you ARE mine ;)
You ask if you have done anything to displease me. Where to begin. Looking at your profile I see you mark yourself as being "single." Not "engaged"! Not even, "it's complicated." Merely, "single." And certainly your page decor reflects a decided inclination towards your precious Navy. London, the home of Whitehall! Nothing to indicate your heart towards me.
I must go, I have a duty to greet the newest member.
Wentworth, old man, so this is where you've been hiding yourself. Snug little birth, you and all these lovely women. But I cannot allow you to bear the burden of being "token male" all alone, now can I?
Frederick, I trust you will not let the dogs in, as you did when you were here last. My poor sofa, tattered as it is from the boys' romps, has never been the same.
"There goes the neighborhood," as Father is so fond of saying.
I see we have a male in our midst. Welcome, Mr Wentworth. I trust you will find our company "worth" your time. By now you are aware (for surely Anne has told you) that stalking out of a room in a huff, as you did during the concert of Italian music, is very poor form?
So is strutting about issuing orders. So long as you behave yourself, recalling that Austen Itch is not the quarterdeck of one of your ships, I believe we will get on just fine.
